Spiderman 3 - Venom revealed! at Comic-Con 2006
But don't get your hopes up though, because there's no available image or footage, Lol. Sorry. But: Comic-Con 2006: Venom Revealed!
Spider-Man 3 panel packs 'em in.
by Stax
July 23, 2006 - "Without a doubt, the most anticipated part of Sony Pictures' presentation Saturday at Comic-Con International in San Diego was its panel for next summer's Spider-Man 3.
Attending the packed presentation were director Sam Raimi and producer Laura Ziskin, along with the film's stars Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, Thomas Haden Church, Bryce Dallas Howard and Topher Grace.
Raimi finally (and rather anti-climatically) confirmed that the new villains in the film are indeed Sandman and Venom, and that James Franco's vengeful Harry Osborn will not be playing either the new Green Goblin or Hobgoblin in the movie.
Raimi debuted never-before-seen footage from Spider-Man 3, although a good amount of it was unfinished. CG animatics were in place of final special effects sequences in certain places but the rough nature of the footage did nothing to deter the responses from the thousands of fans that saw it.
The footage, which was was cut as a trailer, begins with Peter Parker looking at his reflection in a mirror and then slowly revealing the new black Spidey costume underneath his street clothes. "All will be lost," we are told before we find Topher Grace's Eddie Brock praying in a church. And what is he asking of God? Why, to kill Peter Parker, of course!
The rest of the footage included battle sequences between Sandman and the police, as well as between Harry and Spidey. There are shots of love interests Mary Jane Watson and Gwen Stacy, as well as shots of both Peter Parker and Eddie Brock becoming overwhelmed at different points by the black symbiote suit. The trailer ends with the "money shot": the first look at the CG-animated Venom in all his vicious glory!
Fan reaction to this exclusive peek at Venom was through the roof. (Sadly, the panel only showed the new footage once.) Many of these wildly enthusiastic reactions were articulated during the Q&A session with Raimi and company that followed."

I've heard somewhere that the film is about Spiderman beating some other super villains while dealing with the black costume, and the only towards the end, Venom’s created ready for Spiderman 4. >_>'

Everyone knew that when Dunst let it slip last year.

But you weren't talking about that poster (which was revealed roughly 2 months ago). You were talking about what Kirsten Dunst did, last year.

No, I was talking about how people knew Venom was already going to be in the movie without the producer/Sony/whoever confirming it. Why would they release a posters of Spider-Man wearing a black suit (a couple months ago), and in one of them, have a reflection of Venom's face? The other poster changes colors as you walk by. One time it's red, another time it's black. Hmm, why else would he have a black costume? Oh! Could it be because he was infected by Venom's symbiote? Look at that. A damn good hint as to which villain will be in the movie. All I was saying is everyone that keeps up knew who'd be in it.

You're changing your arguement, because I corrected you. You said one thing, now you're saying another. Your arguement was based off of what Kirsten Dunst said last year. Which pretty much meant nothing. 'Cause like I already stated, it wasn't officially confirmed then.
Now you're talking about Posters that was launched this year. Of course they prove pretty much what Kirsten Dunst said, but only one half. Duh!
What about Sandman?
And I know you'll probably bring the trailer that was released roughly a month ago, into the equation. But you're forgetting to realise, that not everyone checks up on the internet now and again - Not everyone even has access to the internet.
Comic-Con is a widely-esablished event where there is alot of publicity. So this is actually the very first confirmation (from the Director of the movie) of who the featured villians will be.
