Easily Influanced??

Ok, your parents dont like your mates because of the way they beahve and what they do, and your parents dont want you to become like them, typical fact, because this does happen. The question is, ARE U EASILY INFLUANCED by your friends?

No, I don't shag every man I see in sight, nor do I take drugs except caffeine and nicotine.
Plus, it's not always up to being under influence, at the end of the day, it's only YOUR decision, and it can only be made by you. Personally, I also think if you're influenced by your friends, you're a sad person to be hanging around with that kind of people anyway.

You're only influenced by people if you allow yourself to be influenced, if you are a follower and not a leader.

I agree with that, well both of you. But any people especially young teenagers are more influanced that rather influencing ppl. It is a fact that the world, meaning, magazines, tv and so on want to influance teenagers as we are the next generation

It's easy to stand back, look at the question, and fancy ourselves as being individualistic to the point of being our own little islands. But as others have alluded to, age and maturity level have a lot to do with how dependent we are on what others think of us.

Our peers shape us, though we don't realize it; just like we shape them. Even the most staunchly independent people here would have to confess that there was once a time--and not so long ago--that they hinged everything on what their peers thought of them. Those who act as though they were never influenced by what their friends thought about them are lying.

Independent thought doesn't sprout out of nowhere. We first need a basic belief system--things to agree and disagree with. Society shapes those beliefs, and our peers are the closest society we know when we're young and still trying to discover who we really are.

Depending on the person really when i was younger i was influenced very easily because i had low self esteem were as these days no im me and i do wot i want to do in general but i learnt the hard way really

Though I dont believe myself to be a blind follower of my peers (I'm actually quite stubborn), I would be lying if I said that no one has ever had any impact on me. Nothing as drastic as pressuring me to do drugs, drink, or *** or anything like that but sometimes I notice subtle things I do that I picked up from my friends. Besides, I see myself as more of an influencer than an influencee.. Did that even make any sense?? Oh well you know what I mean

I can get easyally influanced by quite alot of people...Just depends on what they are telling me..
