So as you all know I'm moving to the big stonefruit in a few weeks to study at NYU...

Has anyone got any good survival tips for living in New York or studying at an American university? I am also compiling a list of good places to eat, drink and/or be merry for when I get there. So if anyone has any suggestions for these it would be nice

please please please hit up the Silver palate for me and tell me EVERYTHING ABOUT IT.....i so want to go there some day...its like a gourmet food shop or something...i have the cookbook thats based on the restaurant's food! .....all my favorite recipes come from that ONE book!

I LIVE IN NEW YORK YAY so if u need some help well here u go. 1. dont show thatu have al ot of money . 2. dont ride the subway alone. 3. dont trust anyone that much.4.dont go to harlam

. 5. dont run in the street lol. 6.visit madison square graden when the rangers are playing. 7.dont root for the islanders

. 8 the most important rule of all have fun enjoy ur time and if u need help pm me for it ight.

Its a little bit of a drive but the best place to go ..... is my place

....

whatever you do.... when you go into little italy ... don't listen to guys standing outside of restaurants..... we asked one guy if they had pizza... he said 'sure sure come on we take care of you'.....get inside.... no pizza... instead they serve us 10 dishes that no one ordered and slapped us with a bill for over 50 bucks.... its like wtf....

.... yeah so don't do what we did....

NEW YORKERS ARE THE MOST OBNOXIOUS PEOPLE IN THE WORLD

A BUNCHA PUSHY MOUTHY NEVER SHUT UP ASS HOLES

I SPENT A TOTAL OF ONE PHUCKING DAY IN NEW YORK

IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE 3 DAYS BUT I WAS SO DISGUSTED WITH THE FILTH AND OVER CROWDED FEELING ..... KINDA LIKE CLAUSTROPHOBIA

anyhoo ...... I LEFT AFTER HAVING DINNER AT AN ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN "THE VILLAGE" BEFORE THAT I WALKED THROUGH CENTRAL PARK COLUMBUS SQUARE (saw the dakota building where john lennon lived and was shot to death outside it by that crazy fuucker in 1980) STOOD AT THE INTERSECTION OF TIMES SQUARE STARING UP AT THE VIDEOTRON AND WAS OVERLOADED WITH SENSORY INPUT (too much too fast and way to many phucking people)

so me thinks i need to try new yaaaaaawk again maybe this time it will be a more positive expierence

lol you told me that story already. i went to a place in little italy and had pizza but i've had better pizza in new york.

i got that feeling too when i first arrived, i almost panicked from it, but you have to give it time, it grows on you, and i don't mean like mould

rangers is a hockey team so yay they are better then the new york islanders by a long shot and what does root mean is aussie land. ya so dont go to harlem or red hook at all never go there unless u have ppl with u and some thing to protect ur self ok.
