a gift from the Lord, an angel from high up above
a companion to see it all with you to the very end
but most importantly of all, a loyal friend...
A wife to me doesn't have to cook or bring me meals
nor does she have to make love to me until I squeal
all I ever ask from her is to wear this golden band
and wear it proudly on her hand...
A wife to me isn't a betty crocker home maker
she is honest and always true, never a faker
she stands her ground and makes her opinions heard
she isn't afraid one damn bit to tell me I am obsurd...
A wife to me is like a teddy bear to hold when I am scared
she listens to me and wipes away the tears and lets me know right away that she cares...
I do not know what the future will be like for her and I
but I often dream of the days, weeks, months and years to pass by
growing old together and watch our children grow up, make us cry
I can almost see her right now, when we're old and feeble, that when she listens to me ramble on...she'll sigh and roll her eyes
I have not been the best fiance a woman ever had
but with you babes, life doesn't seem to be so bad
I love you I love you I love you, I can't say it ever enough
Your my world hun, and together we're going to be tough
no matter the situation or the time...
