I don't think of myself as a Republican; I consider myself a conservative. The reason: my views are more closely shared by conservatives than liberals. But that doesn't mean I side with most Republicans on every issue.

I know. Sodom meant burnt/burned. Some link it to homosexuality, others don't. Since this is inconclusive, I'll use other examples.

Romans 1:26-27: "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence [sic] of their error which was meet."
Corithians 6:9-10: "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
Heard this one has been debated too, but out of their own pride people try to say the translation is wrong, and they're right.

Now, it's clear that in our Bibles today homosexuality is most certainly condemned. However, in the first versions of the Bible, it is not clear whether it's condemned or not based on the choice of words. You can't say for certain that it is or is not. However, what is written, is written, and I will humble myself to it's word and trust in God. Though, personally, I will not condem any homosexual to the fires of hell. It isn't my place to do so. I am told to love all mankind as a brother, friend, etc. and I ask they do the same. Homosexual or not, makes no difference. But, we clearly do see in Genesis that our purpose is to multiply, and not waste that gift. This is clear in the original bibles also.
