Probability?
Ugh, I have the worst times with probability, it's so hard... Like the Trig we did was easy, that stuff I can relate to. I have no idea how to do probability, at my school we got these little prep books for the exam and I tore up my porb. book because it made me angry when I couldn't do any of the question... Any suggestions that'll help me understand this..?

Probability as in chances? It's basicaly fractions. You have a dice with six sides, each side has a number on it ranging 1-6. What is the probability that out of one role, you'll role a three? 1/6.
O_O; I hated probability, so stuff like that^^ I can do. but go anymore complex and I'd just advise you to wait on the next person to post.

Maybe you should give us a specific problem and we'll help you through it.

What she said.
But to broaden the explination a little:
The probability of rolling a 3 on a dice with six sides is 1/6 because there is only ONE number 3 on the dice. So if we had an amazing dice with six sides BUT three number 3's on it instead of just one - then the probabilaty of rolling a 3 would become 3/6. Or if there was a bag with 12 bars of chocolate in it, and 8 of those bars were WHITE chocolate and the remaining 4 were normal chocolate the probobilaty of picking a white bar at random would be 8/12 and the probability of picking a normal chocolate bar at random would be 4/12.
Did that spread it out any??

That's right, but if they can be shortened into simpler form, then that must be done, I think. Because that's what I was asked in my Maths exam for ''simplest form''
So as you said:

White chocolate probablility would be simplified into 2/3.
Normal chocolate would be simplified into 1/3.
Hoping I'm right on that.
