People who bash homosexuals are most likely insecure themselves, so they are just looking for someone to pick on. I don't like gay bashing. I think it's stupid, insensitive, pointless, ignorant, and cruel. But what can you do, really? Prejudice will be around forever...always was and always will. I would also wager to say that the majority of gay bashers are closet homosexuals themselves. They don't want to admit it, so they deny it by ragging on gays.

Some people bash homosexual just to get a reaction. Others out of deep seated hatred or religious beliefs. Not everyone is insecure.

You don't like gay bashing, but like all of use you're human. I bet when you're in a crowd with your friends, and that obese, older lady passes you s******, or you laugh at the nerdy guy, who does his best to impress the ladies but fails dismally. We're all prejudice in one way or another be it against race, sexuality, weight, looks etc.

Those who bash gays are quite pssoibly in denial of thier own true sexuality, but also, they are narrow minded pea brains for the most part, who cannot understand or comprehend tht every1 is different, and legislation by governments does nothing to help gay ppl, as we in the UK found out when Clause28 was introduced some years ago, thankfully, I believe tht this has since been removed, but its legacy still lives on.

Better education is needed to try to prevent further discrimination regardless of ***, sexuality, colour creed or religion, after all, everyone has the desire to love and be loved.

Frankly Tony if I had a small child at school I doubt I'd be very happy at teachers promoting homosexuality. Schools can promote it all they like, but if a child comes from a predominantly homophobic home, they're more likely to follow their parents thinking.

It all stems from the home, parents, environment, etc. And I agree everyone is entitled to live free from discrimination, but please quit going on as if gays have the monopoly on being discriminated against.

Not so fast.

While it may be "human nature" to be mean, gay haters are a special breed. It's one thing to dislike or disapprove, it's another thing to hate.

Often times, when a person shows an intense hatred towards something, it's because they see a bit of themselves within it.

How many people have we known who "hate" their mother or father ... and yet act exactly like them?

How many of us scorn drinkers ... yet drink ourselves?

How many of us criticize fat people ... yet know we too could stand to lose quite a bit of weight ourselves?

Lashing out against the "problems" we see in others--particularly the ones we recognize in ourselves--is a natural human trait.

We do this in an attempt to "program" ourselves ... to convince ourselves that we could never be that way, even though deep inside what we're most afraid of is for others to look at us--look through us--and see the vulnerablity that we know is really there.

On the other side of the coin is the openly-gay person's reaction to this possibly "repressed" gay person.

After all, if a gay person truly thinks that a homophobic-type who's bashing them is struggling with their sexuality, then they shouldn't throw gasoline on the fire by rubbing it their faces now should they?

Gays should treat these "closet gays" with the same understanding that should have been shown to them while they were struggling.

It doesn't make much sense to demand support and understanding, and yet not extend that same support and understanding to those who you believe to be just like you.

Well i dont have a problem with gays. Only the ones that really need to show it by walking around with there purses and tight pants saying to each other "Oh please girlfriend whens the last time you had a pedicure"......thats pretty annoying
