School/Homophobia

Coming out this year has been fine for me, but for my partner, it has been terrible. I just transferred to this school last year, but she's been here her whole school life. She refused to tell me what a terrible experience of coming out has been for her, but I found out yesterday. I'm a flamboyant homosexual, she is not.. which may be why they're targeting her instead of me. This discrimination is driving her insane, and knowing she doesn't want my help with this, is just killing me. We go to a very small, rural, indiverse school. They are racist, prejudice, and are popular for hate crimes. The other day, I found that my significant other's locker had been smashed in, with a note on it, saying "Fucker Lezbian" (all she had told me, nothing else) I've been waiting for someone to come up to me and start something, but nobody has. I partially came out last year, and I've grown so much more since then, emotionally, what with my hospitalisations and such. My self esteem has bounded up unbelievably. In her first period class, it turns out there have been multiple confrontations on her sexuality. I have talked to her about it, but she shrugs my hand off and says she can take care of herself, and to keep out of it this time. I am SICK of all of this, and have been trying to start a GSA. I highly doubt there are any transgendered student in this school, but what I've seen is that if there were, they'd be wise to stay hidden. If I could start this, maybe the scum at this school would realise the truth? It would be a LGBTQ organisation, but I need tips, advice, opinions, criticisms, etcetera.
[before anyone asks, NO, I do NOT know who the students are. I plan on finding out, though.] I am willing to do anything in my power. If it means getting on the intercom and saying that I am a lesbian, I will. I love he with all of my heart, and.. I just.. want her to be okay. I feel like such a terrible person, bringing this onto her.

I'm sorry to hear of your partner having to face this ordeal. She really does need to tell you, in order to stop all this happening. These scumbags need to be dealt with accordingly. I mean, I know you haven't went to Administration because you don't know who it is, but have you spoken to them about the graffiti/vandalism on her locker? If not, go, then they can warn all pupils about this serious matter.
Hope everything works out ok for the two of you, and Good Luck trying to organise that GSA thingy.

GSA = Gay/Straight Alliance. Lots of students are organizing them these days. Which is good in a way. But sad that they should even have to.

Lezbayne, your friend is brave but she'll have to be braver before people will move on. She needs to stand up to those people and not take any sh!t.

Remind those boys that they're just mad because they won't be getting into her pants. Or that they're jealous because she gets more p#ssy than they do.

Either way, she can't let them get to her or it will never stop. And getting the school authorities involved isn't a bad idea.
