No life? Or maybe they feel we're inferior because we're ''different''.

We do not deserve this discrimination, but we still do endure it. Most of us deal with it on a daily basis, but then again there are alot that live in communities that respect what kind of person they are and what they like. It all depends on what you have chosen to surround yourself with. It really is ashame that so many discriminate and bash gays, but I always say that they are jealous because they will never experience what it feels like to come out to the world and finally experience true happiness with in their self and the world.

No, I just feel strongly about this topic and I think that there is much more that needs to be said about the struggles and the obstacles a gay male or female goes through everyday just like a heterosexual person. I wish that the bashing would end and I wish that people would see that we have flesh just like them. We breathe just like them. We bleed, eat, sleep, and explore life just like them. But many do not seem to realize that and blind themselves from the truth.

Ever thought that people aren't afraid. Just fed up of having it shoved down our throats non stop whenever we dare give an opinion.
Quit acting like victims for a change. It's the very thing which could cause a backlash, and turn back the gay cause by years.

I find that it is stupid and discriminising to lose friends and get beaten up just because your sexuality is different...it's the fight between the christians and the jews all over again

Its just like racism. Racism stems from fear. Anything that is different from the norm (norms being dictated by religious and/or political leaders) has a tendency to upset certain people, but not all.
Are we discriminated against? Yes, we are, but as I see it, things are getting better. In the 1940s and 1950s, if you were gay, you didn't dare mention it to anyone. And, if you had a sexual encounter, it was kept very discreet, and was more than likely a one-time deal. If you were ever questioned, you would whole-heartedly deny all involvement, feigning a relationship with someone of the opposite s3x.
But as the 1960s brought about the idea of sexual freedom and power, homosexuality came out of the closet. Seeing 2 men or 2 woman holding hands or kissing was no longer a shock.
Nowadays, politicians are debating gay marriage, gay adoption and same-s3x employer benefits. It is my opinion that within the next 10 years, at least 10 to 20 states in the USA will have some form of legalized marriage. Same-s3x partners will be able to apply for benefits at their employers...benefits that would normally only cover that of a straight spouse. Gay men and women, although acting as foster parents now, and in a few cases adopting children, will officially be allowed to adopt without protest from the government or various churches. Is this a dream? Some on this forum will say yes to that. But hey, if we keep up the good fight for a simple idea called Equality, it need not be a dream.
