The Difference Between Love and Lust...
In my experience on this earth pertaining to the homosexual way of life, I have come to one conclusion.
I feel, that I am able to firmly tell when I have just a simple infatuation towards someone...And when it is something more.
There is a very simple way for me to tell this:
What I think about when I think of them:
1.) Just being with or near them
2.) Running off to the bedroom with clothes flying behind us
Obiviously, the infatuation/lust element is obivious in number two.
As far as I can tell, and I'm only going from one past experience which did not return the feelings I had developed, that I hardly think of someone sexually when I consider it to be something more.
That I don't run home and rub one out after seeing them, or even spend time wondering how they look naked. Rather, my time is spending wondering how it would feel to cuddle against them on a cold day, or to walk down the street holding hands and so forth...
So, what are the other differences that help you tell love from lust?

I suppose love is when u want to be with some1 all the time, and can't bear to be apart for longer than is neccessary, sadly tho, over time, tht wears thin, and u end up feeling like a pair a comfy shoes or slippers, but still enjoy being 2gether.
If there is a definitive sign for love, like u Darky, I've not found it yet either, well, once or twice I have, but it faded out, would I get bck with either of them now, like a shot from a gun.

Lust to me is when as soon as you set eyes on someone, you want to screw them right away, without getting to know them. Or as soon as you meet someone and attract each others eyes, they undress you.
Love to me is when you know you really want that person, taken time to know someone and not hop into bed with someone straight away. You let feelings develop and they grow stronger with every minute that passes.
Also you know what's love when they make your heart skip a beat and get all goosepimply when you hear their voice, or whatnot. That's how I feel when I talk to Rick.
I think it's also when you spend time together as acouple, not just s ex, but like snuggling with each other on the sofa infront of the fire or something. Not being afraid to be seen being affectionate in public (and by that, I don't mean full on snogging and groping, etc o_O ). Like you said, Robbie, holding hands.
And I also think love is when you or your partner give little things to show you love them, such as flowers or a box of choccies now and again, and not big things as such. Less is more.
But that's my opinion on the both of them.

Through a computer screen..you could win an award for that.

Anyway..
A way of defining love from lust is a pretty basic one for me:
Would I give my life for this person?
Most of the time, ofcourse, the answer has been "Hell no, i'd rather save myself!". Only twice in my life have I ever been willing to die for someone.
My current relationship being the second guy whom i'd die for.

Oh, oh, oh. I forgot about the part I bolded.
That as well. I'd give and do anything for the one I love.

From my own understanding, lust is a sexual attraction without the emotional attachment/involvement to the person. I believe the opposite is true though, you could still love a person while lusting after them. The first definition I found of lust is an intense sexual desire or appetite.

Love is when you look into someones eyes and see their heart.
Lust is when you look into someones eyes while picturing them nakey.
