k. i have to write an essay on muslims and stuff, but i have no clue what the veil type thing chicks wear is called. i thought it was a hijab, but on wikipedia it says hijab means "to cover." so is hijab the actual veil or does it just mean "to cover"? if it does, what's the name of the dress/veil/whatever muslim women wear? :\

lol I don't know what they call it in arabian, but in Malay they call it 'tudung' or you could just say head-cover or scarf or something lol ._.

Hijab is the scarf that you use to cover up your head. Burka is the veil which is worn to cover the entire body. Besides the eyes.

The thing they use to cover their hair is called a hijjab but the long black thing that covers everything exept their eyes is called a burka.
