Being Gay - A Sighn Of Mentle Illness. ?
Hi,
I was watching something the other day that had a debate about homosexuality and a number ofpeople were saying that they think that people who are gay are born that way it's a case of genetics,
But there were all so people who were saying that in the mojority of case's gay men in perticuler would in some point in there live's been through something trumatic and that the only reason they are gay is because they suffer from mentle illness and that homosexuality was a sighn of weekness.
I think that same *** couple's can have just as good of a relationship as hetrosexual couple's but i do understand why some people veiw homosexuality as a mentle illness but homosexuality on a whole.
What do you think ? make a post.

I feel that those who choose to have sexual realtionships with members of the same *** is basically their business as long as they don't hop to partner to partner. However those who adopt certain mannerisms and go through personality changes such as the butch looking lesbians and the lisping limp wristed men that is a personality disorder and a form of mental illness. Sexual orientation has nothing to do with genetics ffs give up there is no gay gene. S x is a basic biological function meant to populate the species. Humankind's s exual expression is a learned behavior.

Something isn't considered an illness unless it interferes with the person's life or the functioning of their body/mind. Albinoism, for example, is not an illness, even though it's caused by genetics, so neither is homosexuality.
With that out of the way, I don't think being gay is (always) caused by some kind of traumatic event because there are plenty of homosexuals who have never had a "traumatic event" early on that could trigger such a thing before evidence of any kind of homosexual attraction.
I don't feel like coming up with examples. Fuck it.

If you're a guy and you like men, there's definitely something wrong with you.

It was once considered tht being left handed was a form of mental illness, but tht was disproved.
People will ALWAYS think of a reason to "explain" why some are different to others, because tht is the only way can justify thier views and lack of understanding, when in truth, they are just ignorant, furtther, if gay people are considered mental, does tht mean bi's are only half mental? I doubt tht they would agree witht tht.
Do we really want to bck to the days when gay people were subjected to electric shock treatment to "cure" them, thus leaving us incapable of forming even the most basic of friendships, the anser there is NO. And as for hetersosexuals not liking gay s, ex depiction, why do so many str8 men get turned on by 2 or more lesbians together, or maybe those str8 guys have a mental disorder too.
Most of us who are gay have known for a very long time tht we are *different* in some way, it's only as we get older do we know wht is different, and tht is, we like same s, ex, nothing mental about it, who's to say homophobia is not a mental illness, after all, it is homophobics who create the most fuss about homesexuallity, we just get on, and live our lives.
