Im Curious...

Why do ya'll think so many ppl think they we're freaks because we're different from them... and why do you think ppl who are say that they are proud of who they are but keep it a secret... do u think they are scared of what could happen or maybe they're not too much sure of what they are? What do ya'll think?

The reason people consider gay people as "freaks" is simply because it says in the bible that Homosexuality is wrong, we're still under the thumb of the bible, it has been dug into our skulls and minds for hundreds of years and many people are just too Full Of It to realise what a huge contradiction the bible is - why trust something that has so many contradictions, right?

So it's Jesus' fault.

Let's not kid ourselves. A lot of gay people are downright freaky. If you've ever seen a Gay Pride parade, you know what I mean.

Unfortunately, by drawing so much attention to themselves, these marchers become representatives of all gay people. Straight people see that and it scares them.

There are also people out there who genuinely hate gays, regardless of how they act. But in my experience, people only feel intense hatred toward something when they're personally affected by it. So I suspect a lot of them lash out at gays because they recognize certain aspects of homosexuality in themselves.

The refs in the Bible, are all open to a great deal of interpretation based on ones personal prejudices, they are all mostly misread.

Contradiction, yes that is a verb that just about sums up that collective bable that Is the so called word of God.

The entity God, If she or he exists, made us all in their image, he/she said that!

I think it's only a contradiction when misinterpreted. One like Voice has reasonably argued that the verses used to show homosexuality the way it is, were only because of the laws of the time. Men having haircuts, eating red meat, wearing clothing with mixed fabrics...these were considered "abominations".

Because deep down inside, they are ashamed of who they are. I am gay and I have no problem at all admitting that I am a homosexual. My father knows, my entire family knows, and all of my friends know. They accept me for who I am. So do I.

Well said. This is something i believe to be true in most people. Ive found it true more than once that people who show hatred to gay people are actually gay themselves. Most show hatred to gay people or people they only BELIEVE to be gay, because they want to see the reaction of others. They want to know how their friends and nearby people feel about homosexuality so they can judge themselfs if its right to come out to this crowd.

As it was stated before, the bible says its wrong to be gay.

"You shall not lie with a male as you would a woman. It is an abomination." Leviticus 18:20. <<<That is where this kind of thinking comes from. However, if people want to follow the practices of the bible, then how about some of these quotes?

"You shall not eat any meat that still contains blood." Leviticus 19:26

"You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh in account of the dead or tatoo any marks upon you: I am the LORD." Leviticus 19:28

"You shall not round off the hair around your temples or mar the edges of your beard." Leviticus 19:27.

"You shall keep my statutes. You shall not let your cattle breed with a different kind; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed; nor shall there come upon you a garment made of two kinds of material." Leviticus 19:19

"If a man commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, both adulterer and adulteress shall be put to death." Leviticus 20:10

This is just to name a few. I mean really. If we were to follow ALL of these rules, what kind of world would we live in?
