Straight with gay friends
Some of the best friends I have ever known are gay, both men and women. I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world, and the fact that they are gay/I am straight never affects our friendships.
Any straight with gay friends out there? Or gay with straight friends? This really applies to ppl that make these friends in unusual places, but anyone with any input should post...

I'm gay, and I have more straight friends than gay friends [both offline and online] and I value them more than anyone. They've helped me though some tough times and wouldn't swap them for anyone else.
And our relationship[s] are solid; no criticism or whatnot.
Good thread, Todd.

Haha, if you're a female, it's actually safer to have gay friends in my opinion - at least you know they won't be interested in you, or even try anything.
But no, don't think I do. =\

Haha, that's true. And they're more guaranteed to be respectful and decent to a woman than a straight man. And they'll stick up for her no matter what.

I have friends who are gay, I really don't mind. They're still people.
One of them admitted at the end of our high school reign he had a huge 'man-crush' on me.
It scared me, but it was more flattering than scary.

I am gay and have plenty of straight friends. I wouldn't trade them for the world.
