What's the gay scene like in Florida?
I'm planning on moving to FL sometime this year/early next year to a place that supposedly ''gay friendly'' (fort something...). I was wondering how accepting the Floridians seem to be (on the outside, at least) in general.

You must be moving to Fort Lauderdale in Broward County, about 20 mile north of Miami. Lauderdale has the third largest gay population in the U.S.! It's one of the gayest areas in the country. The greatest concentration of gays live in Wilton Manors and Victoria Park, and Las Olas. The gay community here is very wealthy, and politically active. Most of the gay men here are great looking... very athletic bodies, tans, and beautiful homes. It also has it's seedy side, but like the bad part of any town... should be avoided. I have lived here for 25 years, and for the most part it's a very gay friendly town except in the "red-neck" areas.
