Whether you are gay or straight, what are your feelings on the hatred that the gay community is getting? What is your opinion on it? Please keep this thread spam free and let us act mature and post maturely.

I dont know, let's see, ummm how about for starters the innocent, young gay men that are killed for being gay, the constant bashing and vulgar comments that are said about the gay community/to the gay community, gays fighting for a chance to marry like any other loving couple, that sort of stuff. I am not sure if that was a smart ass comment/question, but that should sum it up if you actually do care to know.

I think homosexuality is wrong and is a character flaw, and also a personality disorder. I don't hate gay people rather indifferent actually. If gay people kept to themselves and practiced their sexual preference in private then this would not be an issue. FFS Rock Hudson had it right. Now there was a real gay man.

EDIT: Carter, Matthew Sheppard was a college student. Murdered in 1998 for being gay in Fort Collins, Colorado.

People are living in the past and not moving on.
It's 2007, not 1987. Ignorance is bliss to many, and homophobia is a thing of the past and it should remain there. But, to some, they want to keep it going because it's not 'normal.'

The bashing is just words, but you learn to rise above it. It's still disgusting though as to how people can't accept that we're all human, despite our preferences.
As for the gay laws, they suck, and I'm not just saying that because I'm gay myself. Love has no gender, so why should they create a law that denies same love gender?!

People are people, and you can't help who you love. Thankfully, marriage laws are legal in UK, at long last I may add.

As for Matthew Sheppard, I read about that in the paper. It's just sick, and his killers are scum, always will be scum, and hopefully they'll die in prison like the scum they are.

Well, homosexuality is not wrong nor is it a disorder or flaw. It is a feeling. Just like an old prune like yourself is able to be attracted to dogs or whatever it is that you like, so are we. We are not going to keep private because we have no reason to hide. If you do not approve on it, that is your opinion, but to say we should keep our lives private is rediculous.
