Pretty much every single advertising photograph out there is played with post production, you really think models can go out on the benders we read about and then look pristine for a photo shoot the next day?

Ah, yes. The truth about models and 'beauty' in today's world.
I think Dove's got a good campaign going. Real beauty is something everyone
in this world is born with. Not the digitized, cheap, make-up layered version
of women these days. I still don't understand why we all strive for such
perfection, when really, it's all just a big joke.

I think models are beautiful. (runway & plus size) But there is a reason they get paid for it. They work 24/7 on looking beautiful. When in reality, people with jobs that don't involve modeling do not have the time to work out for hours on end, have the luxury of having their meals prepared for them in a healthy manner everyday. It is impossible to live up to the model perfection because truthfully we don't have the time, and we have stresses that the individuals in modeling type careers do not have to face.

Every person who takes pride in their looks, is beautiful. We are all different and even those models have imperfections. Ever see those pictures without all their makeup? and what about the models who quit modeling and move on to another career. Not all of them are able to keep their so called "perfect" bodies etc.

I say every individual should enhance what beautiful features they have and not try to enhance features that someone else has. If you get what I'm saying. All this going in for plastic surgery to look like a certain "actress or model" is foolish. These people are wasting the person they are. I am not against plastic surgery by no means, but I am against some of the reasons why people want the surgery. If its to look like someone else, thats ridiculous.
