Default This Is A Senstive Issue

THIS CONCERNS ABORTION.

I HAVE A GOOD FRIEND OF MINE WHOS BEEN WITH HIS GF 4 LIKE 8 YEARS NOW..SHE RECENTLY GOT PREGNANT, AND HAS DECIDED TO ABORT 4 HER OWN REASONS. I REALLY DONT KNOW WHY. BUT HE WANTS TO KEEP THE KID AND RAISE IT EVEN IF HE HAS TO DO IT ON HIS OWN. THE THING IS SHES GOING TO ABORT NO MATTER WHAT AND ITS GOING TO COST THEM THIER REALTIONSHIP. WHY IS IT THE MAN HAS NO SAY IN THIS MATTER , FROM MY POINT OF VIEW I THINK A MAN HAS RIGHT TO HAVE HIS KID IF HE CHOOSES TO RAISE IT. I FULLY UNDERSTAND A WOMAN HAS A RIGHT TO DO WHAT SHE WANTS WITH HER BODY BUT IN LEGAL TERMS WHY DOESNT THE MAN HAVE ANY SAY IN KEEPING HIS UNBORN CHILD. I TRULY FEEL THIS IS UNFAIR TO THE MAN.. FROM A LEGAL POINT.. WHAT THE ANSWER IS TO THIS... WHATS YOUR THOUGHT ON THIS ISSUE ?

PLEASE DONT LASH OUT AT ME, THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION

This is a tough one Mauler. I think he should have every right to keep this child depending on her reasons to abort. Is she aborting simply because she doesn't want a child? Or is there more to it? Is she afraid the baby will be unhealthy? Does she have health issues that will make a difficult pregnancy? What it comes down to...in my opinion...if she didn't want a child, they should have done more to make sure pregnancy was avoided. Since she is already pregnant, unless she's at risk health wise, or the baby is at risk, I think that abortion should be out of the question. But, that's how I feel about abortion anyway. what the answer is but I feel for him. Hope that he is able to move on from this and heal. She doesn't want the child, he does...so if she follows through with this abortion, he is going to need time to morn the child he's lost. I know you will be there to support him through it. He's going to need friends.

It's kind of hard to take a stance given you don't know the woman's reason for aborting it.

i agree a man should have right's but unfortunelty they don't as it's the female who has to carry the baby for nine months then give birth to it, so if she really doesnt want the baby she willl see it as why should she carry it for nine months do all the hospital visits etc.
but if she is getting rid of it just cause she doesnt want it,why did she take precautions to stop her getting pregnant in the first place. i really dont understand women that do this to their partners and never will, unless its a health issue or she had been attacked yes but not if its just cause she doesnt want it,
im with u on this mauler men should have more rights, but i dont think they ever will,as its the female who has to carry the unborn child ....

I just think if she really didn't want a child, she should have been careful enough not to get pregnant in the first place

I do think the guy should get a say, but if the woman isn't very.............'co-operative' then what is he to do? Tie her down and physically stop her from going to a clinic?
I think both parents should get a say in the fate or welfare of their unborn child, but this is not always the case

I TOO FEEL FOR YOUR FRIEND. BUT UNLESS HE CAN FIND A LEGAL WAY OF DEALING WITH THIS THEN HE WILL HAVE TO EXCEPT IT,BUT HE DOES NOT HAVE TO LIKE IT. THE QUESTION IS THIS. NOW THAT HE KNOWS HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT KIDS; WILL HE STAY OR MOVE ON WITH HIS LIFE? IF IT HAPPENS NOW IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. I KNOW IT IS EXTEMELY HARD. BUT HE SHOULD START A FAMILY WITH SOMEONE WHO WANTS KIDS RATHER NOT. I BELIEVE ANY KID/KIDS HE HAS WILL THANK HIM FOR THAT. A SENSITIVE ISSUE INDEED. TELL YOUR FRIEND GOOD LUCK!!!!!
