Bronzers
Anyone use bronzers? I was reading an article in MORE magazine about how bronzers can hide cellulite, dark circles, etc. It looks like they have some great product recommendations. I think I might try. What are your thoughts?

Fake tanner?
Best idea ever.
You don't have to take the time to tan, you don't run the risk of getting cancer or whatever, and your skin won't age nearly as fast. You look at all the women out there who spent too much time in the sun, and their face looks like a leather Fendi bag.
Tanners/Bronzers are so easy to make look terrible though, so I reccomend building it up over time.
Also, make sure to scrub your hands, nails, in between your fingers, ankles, knees, etc etc afterwards.
I'm now using "Summer glow" lotions that have a small bit of tanner in it so it builds up over time, so you don't risk those awkward spots.
I don't have anything against tanning in the sunlight, I just don't have the patience or the skin for it, I get rashes and what not, and am working til sundown.

I use bronzer, but at first I hated it because I didn't know how to use it. If you get advice from a make up artist/expert then you can actually make it look really good....but really a little goes a looooooooooong way.
You have to hit certain areas of your face with it...the areas that the sun would naturally hit....so the temples and underneath the cheekbones...I kind of try to apply it close to my hairline around my forehead because that often produces a good result.
I can't see how it would hide under eye circles. I would NEVER EVER apply it under the eyes because thats one spot that I dont feel the sun would hit naturally and I think it would make you look gross.
If you have a big face like me and you want to make it look narrower, then sweep it underneath your cheekbones...right under the area you would normally apply blush and sweep it upwards towards your ears.
I can see why people would think it could mask cellulite because it definately can make your skin look tighter...LOOK...not actually be tighter but it can have the effect of making legs look slimmer and such....but thats as far as it goes and sometimes for some of us thats good enough.

Oh good! So glad to hear yall recommend it. I think it is great too -- the sun is damaging to the skin. MORE recommended Shiseido Daily Bronze Moisturizing Lotion -- it looks like it is a gradual one. They usually have good recommendations so I might try this one out -- have yall used it?
Thanks again guys.

I use the Jergens natural glow.. i love it.. you get the tan slowly so it looks real, you just have to make sure u wash your hands well when your done, and make sure u get between ur fingers (though im sure you have to do that with all of those tanning moisturizers) but i highly recomend it. My boyfriend thought i had been out in the sun all weekend after i started using it for a few days.

Are yall concerned about the level of DHA in bronzers? I reread that article in MORE and she talks about how she like Shiseldo's because it has reduced level of DHA but still gives enough color. Is this something we should be concerned about?
