1. Making and keeping friends online and in real life.
Whether you are making new friends in teen chat or in real life, it is always a good first step to try to meet people with similar interests to you. For example, you may have some similiar hobbies or enjoy playing the same sports. This does not mean that you shut out people who do not have similiar interests, as you should always be open-minded.
You should treat others the same way you would like to be treated, and usually this is through respect.
You must realize that nobody in this world is 100% perfect, not even you! So understand that people you meet will make mistakes or do things that might annoy you.
They are just like you, imperfect. It is always a good practice to try to present yourself in the best way you can as first impressions matter a lot.
2. It's perfectly ok to be single!
You see it all around you. Your friends all have a b/f or g/f. You feel like you are the only person left on Earth that is single. Then you must have heard it at some point. "Why don't you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?" I mean, how can you answer a question like that? It seems nowadays to be popular or with the "in-crowd" you need to have a boyfriend or girlfriend. The truth is you don't. Everyone needs the inner confidence to be single and be happy with it.
Like the old saying goes: In order to be able to love someone else, you need to love yourself first. Having someone on your arm that you can introduce as your b/f or g/f or going out with someone for the sake of just going out with someone is pointless. Those relationships never last anyways. So, don't worry about being single. Enjoy the moment. Afterall, you dont have to please anyone else except yourself.
Go enjoy a movie, go to the park, chat with others on the Net, hang out with your friends or just chill in front of the T.V. at home. So, forget about finding a g/f or b/f and worrying about it will not change this. You're young, single and FREE! Enjoy it while it lasts ;)
