Hey everyone,
You may have noticed that in chat rooms allowing younger users, we now require some users to enter their age before accessing Private Messaging. While this may feel like an inconvenience, it is an important safety measure designed to help prevent unwanted interactions between younger and older users.
This feature is enabled by default and works by checking both users’ ages before allowing private messages.
Protection guidelines:

Users 18 or older cannot interact with users under 16

Users 20 or older cannot interact with users under 18

Users 18 and older can interact with other adults (18+)

Users between 13 and 17 can interact with others under 18
If an age combination does not meet these criteria, the system will block the interaction.
Members do have the option to disable this protection in their profile settings; however, we strongly recommend keeping it enabled.
