Welcome to Video Games Chat. You're in the right place if you love engaging in video games and consoles as a topic of discussions! To make your experience safe and enjoyable, please read the tips and rules below.

Age and Language Requirements:

• 13+ only. Anyone under 13 (or seeking under-13) will be permanently removed.
• English only in main chat (use other languages in private messages).

Proper Chat Etiquette:

• Be respectful to others.
• No hate speech, slurs, discrimination, or insults.
• No spamming, trolling, excessive caps, or bullying.

Safety & Privacy:

• Use the built-in Ignore feature if you encounter unpleasant users.
• The internet is not always a safe place—be cautious and think twice before sharing personal information, as it can easily fall into the wrong hands.
• No doxing or posting others' private information. Even if they allow it, we do not. This includes photos, social media accounts, phone numbers, addresses, emails or other personal information.
• Generally speaking we do not allow VPNs/Proxy to access our chat rooms. Most of them are blocked by our internal systems. Your information is always kept safe and we only require limited information to participate. There is no need to use a VPN or Proxy. We will only share your information with law enforcement, if requested.
• No impersonating or exploiting minors - ever.

Content Guidelines (User Generated Content):

• Keep content PG-13: No explicit sexual discussions, drug talk, or roleplaying.
• No nudity or explicit imagery in your profile or media uploads.
• No exchange of torrent files or illegally downloaded content.
• Screenshots are okay - just don't use them to troll or bully.
• Avoid flashing/strobing, hate symbols, or attacking others with media.
• No advertising or promoting socials, other websites, products, or any other services.
• No offensive GIFs, memes, images, drawings or voice memos: Avoid anything violent, hateful, or sexually explicit.
• Don't use slurs or bring up sensitive topics like rape, self-harm, terrorism, or suicide.

Discussion Topics:

• Any topic is allowed as long as it does not violate any of the rules outlined on this page.
• Politics/Religion: Feel free to discuss but respect others and move the conversation to PMs, if asked by a moderator.
• Hateful content, terrorism and suicide discussion is forbidden.
• Do not discuss hacking or other illegal actions related to gaming.

Profiles and Usernames:

• Keep usernames and profile content appropriate and readable.
• Don't change your username while muted.
• No under-13 images in your profile.
• Multiple accounts: No evading rules or actions by using extra accounts.
• This chat utilizes AI moderation to detect profile and background picture uploads. It is not 100% accurate and you may see some false positives or false negatives. We encourage our community in assisting to report profile pictures that violate our rules.

VIP Upgrades:

• VIP status does not exempt users from rules. Mutes, kicks, and bans still apply.
• Illegal purchases of VIP (including making payment with someone elses bank card without their permission) will result in referal to law enforcement.
• The use of VIP features such as the drawing tool, webcams, voice calling, etc are all subject to the same rules outlined above.

Report Illegal Content and Other Rules Violations:

• We staff human moderators to monitor our user generated content.
• This chat room has built in tools to report illegal content and rules violators directly to our moderators. Beside each message there will be 3 little dots. Click that in order to report the message. You can also report a profile by clicking the Flag icon on his/her profile.
• You can also report violations by directly contacting a moderator who is active in the chat room by private message. They will have a shield icon beside their name and will be at the top of userlist.

Rules Enforcement:

• You may receive a warning, mute, kick, or ban depending on the severity of the violation.
• Repeat offenders of even minor infractions will also be banned.
• All moderator directions must be followed.
• Harassment of moderators will not be tolerated.
• We report illegal content to law enforcement and registered agencies such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
